In creating images, Louise uses a variety of processes and materials to show responses to her central concerns and observations with the passage of life.

The integration of abstract and representational expressions in the same work are obvious in the series of multimedia works that employ traditional printmaking and drawing in the first instance, and then in the later translation incorporate digital processes to produce a giclee print.

Current digital photographs deal with the same theme in a more refined manner by the arrangement of textural elements to represent an idea - a product of her own emotional landscape. These images can be abstract or arranged in an imaginative way to show form and communicate emotion.
